Transforming Senior Living Through Music: A New Nonprofit Brings Joy, Connection, and Engagement to Communities Across Northern California

[Sacramento, CA] – [April 11, 2025] – The newly established Musical Memories Foundation (MMF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors through the power of music, today announced its official launch and website. With a mission to light up memories and lift spirits, Musical Memories Foundation aims to bring joy, connection, and meaningful engagement to seniors residing in independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities across the Northern California San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

Musical Memories delivers a range of unique and innovative programs designed to connect seniors with the profound benefits of music. These programs include:

• Customized Musical Performances: Tailored performances by talented musicians to evoke cherished memories and create enjoyable experiences.
• Musical Workshops: Interactive sessions such as drum circles and ukulele education, encouraging participation and fostering creativity.
• Movement Through Music: Engaging activities that combine music and gentle movement to promote physical and emotional well-being.

In connecting with the community, testing and delivering our programs, Musical Memories Foundation has already made a significant impact, reaching hundreds of seniors through over 13 highly interactive programs that have been enthusiastically received by 522 seniors to date. The organization has ambitious plans for rapid expansion in 2025, with the goal of bringing the gift of music to thousands more seniors.
